Rural Small Business Loan Program – FAQ
The USDA Rural Loan Federal Government Loan Program is sponsored by the US Department of Agriculture. We work in partnership with USDA to support economic development in Rural Areas, is an important, yet underserved, segment of our economy. We do this by providing rural small businesses loans with competitive business terms.
No, most business that support the Rural Communities are eligible. Farm related business are encouraged to apply, along with business located in a Rural Area.
The USDA definition is, Rural Areas with less than 50,000 people. We are required to follow the guidelines of the USDA for this program. The physical address of the small business is used to determine whether the business is located in a Rural Area. Parties interested in exploring the USDA Rural Loan Fund are encouraged to contact us.
